    9. In column A starting with cell A8, enter the titles "Lean body mass," "Body fat weight," and "Body fat percentage."
    10. Enter the formula =C2+C3-C4-C5+C6 into cell C8.
    11. Enter the formula =B2-C8 into cell C9.
    12. Enter the formula =C9/B2 into cell C10.

    To format the cells, use the steps below.

    1. Select cells C2 through C9.
    2. From the Format menu, choose Cells....
    3. In the Format Cells dialog, select the Number tab.
    4. From the Category: list, select Number.
    5. For Decimal places:, enter 2. Then click OK.
    6. Select cell C10.
    7. From the Format menu, choose Cells....
    8. In the Format Cells dialog, select the Number tab.
    9. From the Category: list, select Percentage.
    10. For Decimal places:, enter 1. Then click OK.

    Part 1: Calculate Body Fat Percentage

    First, calculate the man's body fat percentage.

    The man's body fat percentage is about 18.0%.

    Part 2: Calculate Body Mass Index

    In the formula for body mass index, substitute the man's body fat percentage for BF, the man's age for age, and 1 for gender because he is male.

    The man has a body mass index of about 23.5.
