    Although the Fibonacci sequence starts with 0 and 1, a general Fibonacci sequence can start with other numbers. For instance, in Example 3, the drawing begins with two 1-unit squares. So, the first two numbers in the sequence are 1 and 1. You can then generate more numbers in this sequence as shown.

    These numbers match the ones shown in the figure in Example 3.
